When: Thursday, Mar. 19, 9:30 a.m.
Where: On Zoom (meeting link will be shared before the lecture).

abstract

We’ll start by looking at the architectural evolution of NetApp’s CloudInsights SaaS offering from a single bottleneck of processing to a fully scalable stream processing architecture using Flink. We’ll drive through the mistakes and decision points that led us to current solution as we go. We will then dive deeper into specific Flink processing pipelines, from simpler to more complex, looking at individual operator decisions and the rationale behind using each one. Along the way we will share gotchas when using Flink.
